Welcome. I began developing these resources for faculty workshops on using electronic communication in a Writing/Communication-Across-the-Curriculum (WAC/CAC) context. When Dickie Selfe, Art Young, and I began our book collection in 1995 (published 1998), we coined the term Electronic Communication Across the Curriculum (ECAC) to describe this approach and to be the title of the book.
