Writing Online 1999 Summer Application for Workshop

Note: You must print this form or copy-paste it into your word processor. It cannot be submitted on the Web. Sorry.

Please submit the application to your division chair for signature. Then forward to reach Donna Reiss no later than 5 p.m. July 21, 1999. You are invited to apply through July 9, 1999--extended through July 19-

Our process is first-come, first served through May 3 with first priority for TCC writing teachers and second priority for current TCC teachers of writing-intensive classes. After May 3, we will open available space to teachers in Virginia Beach high schools (participants in our FIPSE project). You are invited to apply through July 9, 1999

Because implementation of what you learn is a goal of this project, your signed application is an agreement to disseminate the results of this workshop in the following ways:

  • Incorporate one or more new computer-supported writing activities into your classes in Fall 1999 and Spring 2000 and to keep a record of the activities and results
  • By December 3, 1999, and April 15, 2000, write a short description of your integration of the technology to publish on the workshop Web page
  • Present your activity and results either at TCC's technology fair 1999-2000 or to another appropriate group such as your department or division or VCCS peer group
